Who is ready for the Civil War? This is our Second annual intra gym competition where we will battle to see who is the top team! The battle will begin Saturday, June 24th at 8 AM (Check-in at 7:30 AM), going until about 5 PM! The cost is $50 to participate which includes a t-shirt. There is a sign up sheet at the gym next to the front door when you walk in where you can register for the competition and provide us with your shirt size. Alternatively, you can register by going through FrontDesk by clicking here and then you can email your shirt size to Jessica@outliercrossfit.com.

These will be large teams ranging from 15-20 people per team where you will strategize and compete against your fellow members for the battle to win the top team! Each coach will have a team that they will be leading/coaching through the competition! We will divide the teams up by all different levels on each team so the teams are evenly divided! There will be prizes for the top team, a trophy/plaque that will be displayed at the gym, and best of all bragging rights! Workouts will be announced shortly!

WOD #1 and #2 – Snatch Ladder/Clean Ladder
Pick half of your team to complete the snatch ladder and the other half to complete the clean ladder. All members of the team will compete in WOD #1 or #2. You can choose to power or squat either lifts. Each team member will contribute a score to the overall team score. You will have 1 minute at each weight to successfully complete the lift and then rotate to the next station. Your final successful lift will be your score that will be added to your team’s overall points. Your team will receive points for max weight lifted for the snatch and then you will get max weight lifted for the clean, so this 2 events where your team can take 1st through 4th on either event. If you go all the way through the ladder, you can get an extra 5 lbs added to your lift for every successful lift completed during that minute (for example, if you snatch 133 successfully 3 times your score will be 143).

WOD #3 and #4 – Benchmark WODs Jackie and Partner Angie
Pick 8 people from your team (male or female combinations) to complete Angie, there will be 4 teams of 2 people competing from each team. Pick 2 people to complete Jackie, there will be 2 people competing from each team. There will be a total of 10 people from each team completing these 2 WODs.

WOD #5 – Sprint Relay Ladder
Pick whoever you would like on your team to complete the following sprints. You will hand off a baton at the end of each sprint (if dropped, must complete 5 burpees before starting your sprint). As many members from your team can complete this WOD. However, 1 person cannot go from 50 meters into 100 meters, you have to rotate members each sprint but the person who runs the 50 meters can do the 200 meter sprint.

* You will get a score for each sprint won and an overall score for the team that completes all of the sprints first.
** During the Hill Run, the entire team will complete as many calories on the Air Dyne and as many GHD sit ups while the teammate is running the hill. 1 bike per team and 1 GHD per team; rotate however you would like to between the teammates.
WOD #6 – Sled Ladder
Every person on your team must complete at least 1 lap down and back. You will add 1 – 45 lb plate every lap (1 lap is garage door to the end of the building and back). You will add 8 plates total and then take them off each lap until you complete the final sled push for the winner. You will get points once your team gets to the half way point and complete the sled push with 8 plates and then points for winning the overall sled push. You will have the opportunity to score 2 times during this event as we will record your team’s time when your team completes the sled pushes with 8 plates on it and when your team completes the final sled push.

WOD #7 and #8 – Biking & Burpees and Benchmark WOD “Grace”
You will pick half of your team to complete Biking and Burpees WOD and the other half of the team to complete Grace. Everyone from your team will do one of these WODs.

*2 People will be assigned to each movement and everyone can be working through their movement at the same time but alternating partners when they need a break on their movement. When all exercises are complete your WOD is done. 10 members from each team will complete this WOD. For example, 2 members are assigned to the bike, 2 members are assigned to the rower, 2 members are assigned to the doubleunders, 2 members are assigned to the run (1 partner runs at a time), 2 members are assigned to the wall balls. With all of these exercises, only 1 partner can work at a time but the entire team can be working through their movement. When you have completed your reps, calories, or run you will sprint to the finish line. There will be a 10 minute time cap.
WOD #10 – Chipper WOD
The entire team completes the following Partner Chipper where 2 people work at a time from each team completing the following while alternating whenever you’d like. Every person on the team must contribute to this WOD.
100 Meters Partner Barbell Farmer’s Carry (155 on each barbell)
30 Bar Muscle Ups while 1 partner holds a wall sit
45 Man Makers (45/25) while 1 partner holds a goblet squat with 1 Kettlebell (55/35)
60 HSPUs (1 partner holds a handstand while other partner does HSPUs)
75 Partner Burpees (1 partner does a burpee and jumps over the other partner holding the plank)
90 Toes to Bar with 1 Person Hanging on the Rig
