THE MOCKING GAMES
The Mocking Games are coming to Outlier CrossFit on Saturday September 14th. This is the latest team throwdown hosted at Outlier, and we are going to pretend we are games athletes for a day. Each event will be inspired by a workout from this year’s CrossFit Games. Get all the info at the link below!
OUTLIER DAY AT THE BAY
On Saturday September 21st, we are headed to Bahia Point on Mission Bay to hang out and have some fun. There will be paddle boarding, floating around, fun in the sand, cornhole, food, volleyball, and anything else we figure might be fun. Festivities will begin at 10am. There will still be classes at 8am and 9am, but the 10:30am class will be cancelled so anyone who wants can still make their way out the to bay.

Calories on bike (or rower/ski erg, if needed)
*EMOM (including 0:00), perform 3 sandbag over shoulder
Note the number of calories biked and sandbag weight used. The goal is to perform your sandbag-over-shoulder reps in less than 25 seconds, so scale to 2 reps if needed. Stagger start time by 30 seconds if needed to share sandbags. If not using the sandbags, sub 5 ball slams (40/30).

8L/8R Bulgarian split squats
16 alt arm KB press
Athletes may choose to hold KBs or DB in the position of their choice for the split squats (goblet, at sides, front rack). For the KB press, with with two KBs in the front rack position (standing) and perform alternating arm overhead presses (16 total, 8 each arm).

Every 1:30 x 6:
Hang power snatch + power snatch (1+1)
Build in weight over the 6 sets. Barbell may be dropped between reps.

16 hang power snatch (115/75)
70m single arm KB OH carry (53/35)
16 front rack lunges, alt leg (115/75)
70m double KB front rack carry (2 x 53/35)
Choose a weight that allows you to complete the snatch reps in two sets.
