Saturday June 23rd, 2018 – Outlier Beach WOD
Join us at Mission Beach (just south of Belmont park) for a WOD at the beach. Arrive by 9am to join us for a warm-up, the workout will start about 9:30am. We will be hanging out after for some fun at the beach. So come for the workout, to hangout after, or both! You can park in the lot just south of Belmont part (3146 Mission Blvd, San Diego, CA 92109).
Please note that there are no regularly scheduled classes at the gym.
Partner WOD
Sandbag/log run:
Partner A – 250 meter run (from main lifeguard tower to the next one directly south)
Partner B – 250 meter run carrying log or sandbag, may begin after partner A has reached south lifeguard tower
Partner A – 250 meter run carrying log or sandbag, back to main tower
Partner B – 250 meter run, back to main tower
50 sandbag/log overhead walking lunges – partner A performs 20, then partner B performs 20 (walking back to starting point)
40 sandbag/log thrusters – split reps as needed
30 burpees – Partner A performs 5 burpees, then is required to run and completely submerge* in the ocean and run back, tagging off to partner B. Rotate through until the 30 burpees are complete.
Sandbag/log run – same as above
If you really don’t want to get wet, then you are required to wade into the water up to your knees.
