A new month is upon us meaning that it is time to learn a little more about an athlete that is a part of this amazing community. This athlete always makes sure to add a little flair and spice to the classes. Whether it be with his throw back 80’s dolphin shorts or with his ever so unique answers for our get to know each other games at the beginning of class. Arik M has been in the CrossFit game for a little over two years now and let me tell you how for he has come!
When Arik first joined he could barely overhead squat an empty bar without taking out his neighbors. You could see he wanted to keep up with his lady friend Teresa who after several years of coxing, finally got him to join. Arik understood that it would take time to acquire the skills and control that you learn over time here at CrossFIt.
Over time Ariks regular attendance and coachability paid off! Now this old dog has learned lots of new tricks. Kipping pull ups, linked toes to bar, a 160ish pound snatch as well as chisled legs like an azteca stud horse! There are plenty of days where Arik is giving the young bucks a run for their money in the classes.
In addition to being a great example of work ethic paying off. Arik is a regular attendee of the social events. As we all know the social aspect and the get togethers that we create are really the fabric that holds this crazy little gyms we love so much together.
Arik, keep up the great work!
